ARM just jumped into the business of selling chips with a new server SoC. SemiAccurate is curious to see how this effort plays out with partners, but the game has fundamentally changed.

Earlier this year, details of the project came to light and it became very clear that this part is a fundamental change for the Cambridge company. Ironically, sitting in Cambridge as I write this, the company doesn’t look different from the outside as you walk up to it, but we kind of expected that. And yes that is humor, the chip is real.
